Environmental orders against Kashagan operator revoked due to procedural violations

ASTANA. Aug 15 (Interfax-Kazakhstan) – The Judicial Panel for Administrative Cases of the Astana Court, having considered the lawsuit of the North Caspian Operating Company (NCOC, operator of the Kashagan field) against the Atyrau Region Department of Ecology to recognize as unlawful and revoke the environmental agency's 2022 order, identified procedural violations and overturned the order pending their rectification. This was reported to the Interfax-Kazakhstan agency by the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic.
